Okay, I have mentioned to you I cannot paint. So many of you out there do such amazing work, I so envy you 😉 Well, some of you try to build my confidence and tell me to practice, or you don’t believe me….So to the ones out there that don’t believe me, and asked to see my failed paintings…here they are…but please don’t laugh…

I tried again..

This one I just abandoned…..ugh! So or all of you that say practice….I am! .I just can’t seem to get it right…I wish I could capture what’s in my head

I love creating new ideas. And now that I am happily retired, I have lots more time to create them! Whether its crafts for decorating my home, or up cycling items I find at garage sales, thrift stores, and even on the curb, and turning them into something wonderful.
The creative juices flowing in my head are almost always in overdrive....so many ideas! I love sharing my new ideas with all of you! So please follow me and let me know how I'm doing! I hope I can inspire you.....and if I do....send me a pic. I would love to see your creation.

I don’t think they are failed, darling. I wouldn’t mind having one of these on my wall!

They may be fails to you but those paintings that you say failed turned out to make background colors for your crafts.

Did it look like the ocean to you?? Did it look like waves?? Be truthful!

Thank you so much. If you could only see the picture I was trying to copy. After looking of lots and lots of paintings of the ocean, I am coming to the conclusion that if you paint different blues, greens and whites for waves, it looks like the ocean. Some paintings I look at instantly remind me of the ocean. perhaps that’s it. I love the ocean…

I understand what you mean. And when comparing to a photo, unless you’re into hyper realism, it’s never going to be the same. And is copying really the goal? Or is it to capture the feel of the ocean? Because I think you’re getting that into your paintings.

I wasn’t copying, more like studying how the brush strokes made the waves. Believe me, it looked nothing like it. My own interpretation. Wasn’t sure if anyone else got it? 🤗❤️️

Thank you so much joanne! So sweet. I am not a painter at all. I can’t draw either. I wish I could. I tried copying a picture I saw that reminded me of the ocean. Then, not happy with it…I added sparkle, sand, shells…more to distract from the ocean I painted.
