Virus is still out there and I thought I would post this for your children since school is out, and the kiddos are getting bored! If you follow me, you know how much I love❤ children! Each Thursday is kids craft day!
I had this container, from a Slimfast drink, I thought was pretty cool. When you take off the wrapper, you have a nice white container. One of the kids wanted to craft with it…this is what she did:
This is the first thing she thought of when she spied the bottle. Imagine a flower inside and the top of bottle wrapped with a burlap bow.
I keep plenty of paints and glitter, etc on the craft table for the kids. This time I added a rock. I love to watch kids faces when they light up with an idea. Priceless. Mariah took on this challenge…she started by painting grass on the rock.
and this is how it looked when completed…
Then she gave it to me….ahh…great for my desk! Here are some more easy crafts kids can get into. This first one all you need is some liter soda bottles, and paint
You can pick up clothes pins, googly eyes, glue and craft balls at the Dollar Tree and make these cute caterpillars:
Aren’t those cute! Easy and safe for the little ones to craft. While your at the Dollar Tree you can pick up a pack of pens and some tissue paper and look at what your kiddos can make:
Did you receive a package that was wrapped in bubble wrap? All you need is some paint and they can do this:
It’s summer and the weather is getting warmer. Kiddos love Popsicles…so just save the sticks and a couple of clothes pins and look at what they can make:
This next one is adorable. All they need is a milk carton, buttons, paint, and some twigs from the yard and look what they can create….a bird feeder.
These next little guys are adorable and so easy to create. Popsicle sticks, googly eyes, paint and feathers.
I know for a fact that kids love gummy bears. So how about making some of these treats.
Don’t those look yummy! Pretty too!
These next creations were made with yarn…so pretty:
This next craft your kids probably already know how to do. All you need is craft paper, googly eyes , and a small red balloon for the tongue:
Little boys love dinosaurs. All you need for this craft is a couple of paper plates some paint, googly eyes, and a couple of toilet paper rolls for the legs:
Speaking of TP rolls…all you need to add is some paint. Cut slits on one end of the TP roll and the kids can make your own fireworks:
This jelly fish is adorable. All you need is a paper bowl (Dollar Tree) some tissue paper , string, ribbon, and googly eyes
Speaking about paper plates…look at these cute animals the kids can make:
How about fishes? Kids can make them by tracing their hands on some scrapbook paper, adding some googly eyes and rhinestones, and gluing onto a Popsicle stick.
Here is another plane made from a clothespin and popsicle sticks
These are made with paper plates also:
I hope you enjoyed looking at these crafts and hopefully you’ve been inspired to make one of these with your kiddos.
The best part of these crafts is you can pick them all up at your nearest Dollar Tree! Happy Crafting!
I’ve shared your post on my personal FB page for all my friends with young grandkids. You always have such great ideas!

I have to think where to get those soda bottles, maybe ask neighbors. My two older “local” grandkids are away in camp, but the little ones are in day camp here. Can’t wait for the mess (remodeling, that is!) to be over, so I can clean up the house and borrow the little ones for Sunday fun!

Who knows! It very much depends on humidity because cement needs to dry. Parquet floorin dining room is finished – gourgeous!- and the kitchen ceiling is in place, thank G-d! All that remains is tile floors in kitchen and bathroom, and painting. I am coughing, my husband is sneezing, but we are taking it in stride.

Ah, dear friend, my grandmother used to say, If you blow on a stove, it won’t cook faster. I truly appreciate the thought, darling! 😻

How fabulous! I bet you’re popular with the kids (and their parents) for coming up with great ideas to keep them occupied. So much better than hours on an iPad or computer.
