Easy Thanksgiving Centerpieces

Thanksgiving is only 3 days away. Add a touch of fall to your Thanksgiving table with elegant yet easy-to-make Thanksgiving centerpiece ideas. Including natural elements, candle displays, and more, these centerpieces will be a highlight on your holiday table.

Remember that spray paint I love so much from Rustoleum…Metallic Gold. I used it on the ‘Framed Pumpkin’. How beautiful does this look…3 faux pumpkins and a can of spray paint…is all you need…you can also spray some of your pine cones gold also! Stunning!

I love this next one…All you need is a branch from outside, a vase, colored paper, and some string. Cut out shapes of leaves. If you have a faux one, use that to trace. Punch a hole at top of leaf, put the string through, and there you go.Each person at the table has a marker and a leaf ready to hang. Each person writes what they are thankful for on the leaf. Then you hang on the branch! Be sure to put nuts in the vase as a filler and to hold the branch still.centerpiesces-fall

This next one is easy also. All you need is some spray paint or chalk paint and some flowers and a candle. The pumpkins can be purchased at the dollar store. Cut off the tops with a knife…be careful..Then paint. Add something like small pebbles inside on the bottom to give weight to the pumpkin, so when you add candle…it stays put! Add some little flowers…there you go!!!

This next one is such a awesome idea. Do you like succulents? Well how about taking a large gourd, cutting it in half length wise, then placing succulents in it…So beautiful and natural!

This next one, you glue popcorn kernels and a different variety of  beans to different size pumpkins!

Thanksgiving Turkey Wreath

I was asked to make a Thanksgiving wreath, with just what I had on hand. Well, I love a challenge! This Turkey Wreath won me ‘First Place’ in a Challenge! That Home Depot card came in soooo handy!

I had been to the dollar store a week or so ago to get candy for the ‘Gumdrop and Lollipop’ craft. While I was there, I grabbed a few of these wire wreaths, and bunches burlap ribbon.

I started by wrapping the burlap ribbon around the wire wreath;

I noticed the burlap was unraveling on the ends, so I sprayed Rustoleum 2x Clear Coat Sealer on it. You can get that at Walmart or home improvement stores.

I then took a garland off one of the mirrors decorated for Thanksgiving.I started putting the garland on with thin florist wire. I then decided to hot glue the rest of it.

I continued all around the wreath, gluing the garland down. You can purchase garland like this  at craft stores.

I have a shoe box filled with autumn goodies.

I placed the turkey on first, since he was the biggest. I then tied a bow with some pretty green ribbon with gold trim on each side, and put it on top. I took a orange ribbon  and looped it around the wreath at the center, then tied a tight bow for hanging.

I have this rack set up in my craft room, which I use a lot to hold up my wreaths when I’m creating them.

I put some sunflower s in the center of the bow. Here he is…hanging on my front door..

I hope you like this. Pic up a wire wreath and burlap ribbon at the dollar store…then use what you have to decorate. A lot of the small pieces are from those bags of different of fragrances you can buy. I purchased mine last year for some candle holders. They smelled so pretty. They have lost their fragrance, but not there usefulness!
