Easy Halloween Decorations

Halloween is just around the corner….so I found some ideas you can do to dress up your home….scary.  Fun and easy to do..

I used felt for everything except for the white eyes and teeth.  They’re just card stock. We have a covered porch, so I didn’t need to worry about rain.

This was totally a kid-friendly project .We used chalk on the felt to design the hair

You can use measuring cups for eyeballs.

And mixing bowls for the eyes
You can use Command strips to adhere the felt and paper to the door, so it won’t damage the paint on your door
We think he’s pretty awesome and cute, not scary or creepy.
(Actually, he’s lost a tooth recently, adding to his goofiness!)
The next one is fun for your yard using cardstock…

Do you have any toilet paper or paper towel tubes? This is a great one ..Look how easy this is…just cut ‘eyes’ in the TP rolls….insert a glow in the dark stick…that’s it! You can grab those glow in the dark sticks at the dollar store…

I just love this next idea….They look like little ghosts playing ‘ring a round the rosie’
For this project simply poke into a styrofoam ball with green fencing or dowel painted green. Then you cover with white cheesecloth or white fabric. Use thin fabric so it will catch the wind and they will dance! If your fabric is sheer…you may want to use two layers.
Make several of them and place them in a circle with their fabric  corners tied to each other. You can secure the fabric on the styrofoam by using hot glue. You can also use puch pins to secure even more….this is just so easy and adorable.

Now this one would be great stuck on the window….this one is pretty scary…

What gruesome party couldn’t use a few bloody handprints with drops of blood on the walls or windows as a decoration? These easy-to-make clings stick on windows, mirrors, or any other glass or plastic surface and they’re cheap, too! There are a ton of great ways you can incorporate them, such as:

  • Using them on the floors at the “crime scene” of a murder-mystery party.
  • Placing them on the shower curtains for a Psycho movie marathon.
  • On the mirrors just for fun, to scare someone.
  • Any Halloween-related gathering or event, of course!

A lot of people just buy premade decorations with a gory theme and put them up. For me, that takes a lot of the fun out of decorating my home. That’s why I thought it would be fun to create a budget-friendly craft project that produces unique looking bloody handprint window cling decorations and fake blood drops. This article will lay out all the steps you need — have fun!

You can put these on lampshades..I would use double sided tape or just loop a piece of tape to make it double sided….turn on the light and it will look so cute.
You know how much I love candles….if you don’t…I love candles!! Grab a jar…mason or any other will do….get creative with tissue, construction paper, markers…these are just too cute!!!

      1. Long story, but I don’t. I have forests and some nice hotels until I figure out how someone stole my passport and keeps getting into my car and leaving me things on my driver’s seat in different cities when my car is locked with an alarm. But I enjoyed seeing your door on your DIY blog. 🙏

      2. I’m currently at an undisclosed location until private detectives figure out this strangeness about my possibly being stalked… but generally Northern California. You?
