Thanksgiving

Gobble Turkey Wreath

What better way to welcome guests at Thanksgiving when they come to the door! Gobble Gobble

I was at a dollar store and I grabbed some bunches burlap ribbon and a wire wreath!!

I started by wrapping the burlap ribbon around the wire wreath

I noticed the burlap was unraveling on the ends, so I sprayed Rustoleum 2x Clear Coat Sealer on it. You can get that at Walmart or home improvement stores.

I then took a garland off one of the mirrors decorated for Thanksgiving.I started putting the garland on with thin florist wire. I then decided to hot glue the rest of it.

I continued all around the wreath, gluing the garland down. You can purchase garland like this  at craft stores.

I have a shoe box filled with autumn goodies.

I placed the turkey on first, since he was the biggest. I then tied a bow with some pretty green ribbon with gold trim on each side, and put it on top. I took a orange ribbon  and looped it around the wreath at the center, then tied a tight bow for hanging.

I have this rack set up in my craft room, which I use a lot to hold up my wreaths when I’m creating them.

I put some sunflowers in the center of the bow. Here he is…hanging on my front door..

I hope you like this. Pick up a wire wreath and burlap ribbon at the Dollar Tree store…then use what you have to decorate. Right now at the Dollar Tree there are so many craft items you can pick up for those special holiday crafts. Inexpensive and easy!

I would just love to see your wreaths you have created! Come On…..Share. Just email me the pics at kelleysdiy@gmail.com and I will share! Thank you!

      1. She is biiig, feisty, and very clever. She is still afraid of strangers, though. With all the people traipsing through the house during the party, she hid under the bed and wouldn’t come out until everybody left, including those she had already gotten used to,

      2. Your sweet baby is the biggest troublemaker! I still love her though. The food was appreciated. My Mexican pizza disappeared, as if inhaled. Next time I’ll make a double portion. I was taking pictures of the process but forgot to take a picture of the end result – how silly is that!

      3. That’s the problem – I never posted it! It’s not a pizza at all, actually; it only looks like it. You arrange a bunch of tortilla chips on a round platter. That’s your base. Then you spread any thick tomato sauce of your choice. I used Matbucha (https://koolkosherkitchen.wordpress.com/2016/06/28/pashtida), but you can use any thick store-bought sauce, such as Marinara. Instead of cheese, you spread my Original Appetizer (https://koolkosherkitchen.wordpress.com/2016/06/15/original-appetizer/). Slice a red chili pepper thinly and arrange on top, then throw some sliced black olives around, and you have your Mexican pizza. I forgot to take a photo!
