Trash to Treasure

Chalk Painted Chair

I actually found this brown chair with ripped up upholstery on the curb in my neighborhood. I knew exactly what I would do with it!!!

I started by painting the chair a teal color with Rustoleum spray paint I had already had. I took off the seat by unscrewing the screws underneath. I removed all the fabric and padding on the seat, till all I had left was the wood piece. I purchased some foam padding and this cute material at Walmart. I glued the foam onto the chair, then I wrapped it with the material. I used a stapler to put the material on. Starting at the center on all 4 sides begin stapling, keeping the fabric taut. When you get to the corners, fold, like when your wrapping a gift.

I love it! I love the material, and It’s just what I needed for my closet..
